Sarah loved reading the chapter called "The Pit". She started writing about what happened in it. She wrote these statements in the wrong order. Can you help her to sort them out?
Danny passed a police car on the way to Hazell's Wood.
Danny's dad's ankle was broken.
Danny woke up at ten minutes past two in the morning.
Danny drove the car, the Baby Austin, to Hazell's Wood to try to find his dad.
Danny swerved through a gap in the hedge to avoid the police.
Danny's dad went poaching pheasants in Hazell's Wood.
Danny used a rope to pull his dad out of the pit.
Doc Spencer came to look at the broken ankle.
Danny found his dad in a large pit, which had been dug by the keepers to catch poachers.
Danny's dad could not drive because of his ankle, so Danny drove them home.
